The Monkees - Good Times!

The Monkees celebrates its 50th anniversary with the group's first new album in 20 years.

The album contains tracks written specifically for the band by some of the music world's most gifted songwriters including Andy Partridge (XTC), Rivers Cuomo (Weezer), Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie), Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller. It also contains songs originally written for the group during the 1960s by Neil Diamond and Harry Nilsson.

Eleonora, una ragazza nata in una città di provincia del nord Italia, inizia una serie di viaggi e contatti oltremanica incrociando alcuni tra i più importanti musicisti rock degli anni Sessanta: Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Mick Jagger, Roger Daltrey e Pete Townshend, del quale, negli anni, diventa amica. L'autrice, inoltre, entra a far parte di un gruppo fedele di fan e groupie che accompagnano le varie rockstar, ritrovandosi così ad assistere a concerti, produzioni discografiche, registrazioni e a intraprendere intere tournée insieme ai musicisti trascorrendo lunghi periodi a Londra, Dublino e New York, città in cui conosce, tra gli altri, Elvis Costello e gli U2. Eleonora, che nel tempo diventa interprete, traduttrice, press-agent, giornalista e, in alcune occasioni, amica confidente di qualche musicista arrivando ad ispirare alcune canzoni, narra attraverso il suo vissuto personale e professionale l'intera opera di Pete Townshend, i concerti, gli incontri e le recenti interviste esclusive a personaggi come David Bowie, Stevie Nicks, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, Rolling Stones, Andy Partridge, Jimmy Page e i Black Crowes, James Taylor e altri.
Eleonora Bagarotti È nata a Piacenza. Ha compiuto studi in campo musicale (diplomandosi in Arpa) e letterario (laureandosi in Pedagogia). È attualmente laureanda in Filosofia all'Università di Parma. Ha lavorato come traduttrice e come press-agent. Nel 1997 ha pubblicato la raccolta di poesie L'eredità del sogno (Cortina Editore) in collaborazione col pittore Giampiero Podestà. Collabora come free-lance con vari testate italiane ed estere, tra cui il quotidiano Libertà, il mensile musicale JAM e la rivista Artnews di New York.
